Merrick completed his degree in Marine Engineering from SUNY Maritime College, along with receiving his Unlimited Tonnage Engineer’s license from the United States Coast Guard and entering the United States Navy Reserve as an officer. Following graduation he sailed as part of the US Merchant Marine for various commercial vessels along the US coast and worldwide, growing his mechanical expertise and interpersonal skills while operating in critical, high stress situations. He has since transitioned into the temporary housing industry, where he leverages his systems and team management skills to maximize operational efficiency and over deliver on client’s needs. In his free time he enjoys traveling, surfing, freediving and getting outdoors. He currently resides in Frankford, DE.
